What is Play-Based Learning?
Play-based learning is an educational approach that uses free play and guided play to support children’s learning and development. Play-based learning allows children to learn through active, hands-on experiences that are both enjoyable and educational.
Project PLAY focuses on supporting children’s playful learning in classrooms and outdoors. We work with teachers to develop materials and activities that complement national curriculum frameworks to ensure that playful learning aligns with learning goals. We seek to help teachers see the learning that happens through play and to implement strategies that enhance children’s learning through play.
